1. Derek O'Brien Pushed to Ground by UP Cops
Trinamool Congress MPs including Derek O'Brien, were stopped by the Uttar Pradesh Cops when they were going to meet the family of the victim of the Rape case, also known as the "Hathras Case" that took place in U.P.
The death of the 20 year old woman has shown a nationwide outrage, yesterday even Rahul Gandhi along with his sister Priyanka Gandhi were going to meet the family but the UP Police didn't allow them either infact Rahul Gandhi was arrested by the Police.
2. YES- Bank to empower Small Bussinesses
YES-Bank signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) to empower the Small Business of the Nation via awareness and knowledge-sharing programmes.
Memorandum of Understanding:
Both BSE and Yes Bank havde joined their hands and they will conduct knowledge events for Entreprenuers of small business and start-ups to make them aware about the export promotion and provide them with banking and financial solutions. The Bank will also offer customised services and products to the listed members of the platform.
3. Section 144 imposed in Hathras
The brother of the Hathras Victim siad "everyones phone have been taken so that we're not able to call anyone" and also alleged that the DM hit his uncle chest, he also added that the UP Police is not letting them go out, neither they're allowing anyone else to come in.
Celebrities like Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma further added their concern by sharing posts on their social media handles and questioning the women security in the nation.
4. MI register their biggest win against KXIP
Mumbai Indians on Thursday had their biggest victory (by runs) against KXIP after defeating them by 48 runs in Abu Dhabi. MI's previous biggest victory against KXIP had come in 2016 when they defeated them by 25 runs.
MI have now reached on the top of the IPL 2020 points table, while KXIP have directly faced two losses.
5. Kerala Woman completes 350 Online Courses in 90 days, Creates World Record
Arathi Reghunath made a world record at the Universal Record Forum- URF for completing 350 online courses offered by State University of New York, University of Virgina and University of Rochester, among others in three months.
Arathi is a native of Elamakkara in Kochi and she is a second year MSc Biochemistry Student at MES College.
6. Gandhi Ji fought for freedom, will he give it away so easily? : Mamata.
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 151st birth anniversary on 2nd October 2020 by Tweeting, "Icons like Gandhi Ji, Neta Ji, Tagore, Maulana Azad, Ambedkar and others tirelessly fought for freedom and democracy. Are we going to give it away so easily? Bapu's philosophy has become more relevant now than ever before."
She also gave a Tribute to Former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri by quoting his famous quote "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan" and added "Come what may, we will always firmly stand by our proud framer brothers and sisters till our last breath.
7. Gloal Markets Fall as US President Trump tests Positive for Covid-19
Global markets took a plunge on Thursday after US President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump tested positive for Coronavirus. Shortly after Trump confirmed the Diagnosis, Asisan Stocks, Oil prices and equit futures took a plunge. Japan's Nikkei 225 lost all gains and fell 0.69% while Brent Crude Oil Prices tumbled more than 3.5%.
8. Elon Musk says Tesla will enter India 'next year for sure'
Tesla's CEO and Billionaire Elon Musk indicated that US electric Carmaker will make its foray into India in 2021. He confirmed this news by replying to a comment on the tweet of an Indian who posted a picture with Quote "India wants Tesla" and Musk also thanked another user for waiting when the user said that "he's been waiting for ages.
9. 15 Injured in Fire at KPTCL plant Bengaluru
Fifteen people working at Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited- KPTCL plant in Bengaluru's Yelahanka were injured in the fire that broke out after a gas leak. Two officials were critically injured in the incident. Seven fire tenders were rushed to the spot and fire was extinguished, said Bengaluru Northeast DCP.
KPTCL officials claimed there was a blast. However, Yelahanka police refuted the claims.
10. Rahul quotes Gandhiji on Gandhi Jayanti
Congress' Rahul Gandhi shared a quote by Mahatma Gandhi on the latter's 151st birth anniversary on Friday tweeting, "I will not blow down before anyone's injustice." Also, added "I wont fear anyone in the world...I will win the untruth with the truth." A day ago, Rahul has accused UP Police of assaulting him while on his way to Hathras. Congress shared a video on Twitter and it used hashtag "BapuKaBharatBachao".
